Addicted to mysteries

I worked on step two of the mystery at Thimbles.  I am not going to show much because I don't want to spoil the mystery for anyone else.  We did get to see the fabric selection of those of us who are doing the project-each one different.  I can't wait to see how this project turns out.  I do beleive all the quilts will be awesome.
It was good to be together this session.  We have all shared in the sadness over losing Jackson.  I found comfort in being with all of the Thimbles and I hope and believe that Andy and Pat did as well.  We all know what quilters mean to each other.  We are there for the good times as well as the awful times.  And I do beleive that our Thimble  group has and will continue to do that.

I am heading into my last week of work.  Last week one day I felt a little sad.  Now not so much.  I am ready to walk away.  I am ready to retire.  I am ready to not wake up, get dressed and head out the door to deal with "stuff"!  And this will be the last Sunday afternoon that I mourn the end of the weekend.

Weekends are even better in retirement. If something isn't done, there is always next week. Avoid grocery stores on senior citizen day. It can be brutal:) you've described our Thimbles group and what we mean to each other.

I love the fabrics you are using. Congraulations on the retirement.

I misplaced my directions for the Mystery, so I will need to get a copy at the next Thimbles meeting. No hurry, since I, unlike you, have to work the rest of the week.(Ick!) Karmen
