Talking Turkey
Labor Day weekend and I have been busy in construction! I REALLY wish that I could get the picture thing to load on the blog. I have completed all 456 flying geese and decided that I needed to see how the block looks. I did post it on my Facebook page. I still need to cut many more pieces for the body of the quilt and then there is the border..YIKES!!
The pool is closed all next week.. I will need to be out pounding the pavement in the park. So did they ever drain the pool in the movie Cocoon? 'cause that is kind of what the pool looks like at 8AM I hope the water does not take too long to warm up

I have been MIA
It has been quite awhile since I have blogged. Retirement keeps me quite busy. So what's been going on in my life?
Well, quilt camp has come and gone. I had a ball. New place- GREAT FOOD and a lovely setting. Not much farther than FaFa. I decided to work on Talking Turkey-a Bonnie Hunter number-only 30 trillion pieces in this baby. I now am almost ready to cur the 456 flying geese.
Helping out Pat a bit-that's a secret project
Still playing in the pool-did I mention that the cumulative age in the pool is 3000?
I have been thinking about hexies although I have not yet jumped in...like I need another project. I do need to start rounding up blue, red and gold fabric for a swap for early next year. Sharon H finds the best quilts and I love the new one as much as blue and tan. I sure wish I could post pictures because it really came out...yum!
I need to make some more geese for another mystery-good grief I will have a geese farm right here in L'ville!
So that is it-nothing else. Need to go see my little girls this weekend. I borrowed Emma's quilt "eye Candy" to take to camp and she needs it back becasue it is only 85 here in the ATL. Truth is I miss seeing them. I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with them this summer. Yeah retirement

Still unable to post pictures
And I am so peeved that I can't. I finished Purplishish today. I did post a picture on Facebook. I am really happy with how it turned out. I plan to piece the backing with would you believe assorted purple fabrics?
String Fling-Bonnie Hunter's new book arrived today in the mail and I spent a good portion of the afternoon drooling over the quilts. I have already made 2 of them and there are five more that are in the future plans. BUT Turkey Tracks will be up first. I will head into the stash to pick out red fabrics. Tonight I cut up part of the phone book in preparation!

Enough is enough
I am in whining mode. It is going to be another HOTday. Too hot to do much of anything productive. I was glad to not hear the ac cranking when I woke up but I am sure it will kick in soon. I am continuing to work on Second Hand Clothes and have it half put together. I will be cutting the purple for the setting triangles on the anniversary quilt this week.
I need to get back to prepping stuff for the Stitch In. I have another kit that I want to get ready. Plus some pillowcases that need to be cut.
Sure wish I could get pictures on the blog but It just won't work. Willie was doing what he does best-shedding on a quilt. It just would not show up So frustrating.
