Yes, I will be participating-along with the 55,000 others....passively. I got up to watch it on tv. The closest I will ever get to the race is vicariously through Laurie. She ran and completed the race several years ago. As I write, the winner has already crossed the finish line. He ran the race in about 27 minutes. Both the men and women winners are from Kenya.
I picked up the quilt to be donated to Cursillo yesterday from Peggy Barkle. I am now putting the binding on it. Progress is slow as the binding is black and the back of the quilt is also a black background. I am pretty much sitting under a light in order to see! I hope to have it completed by the end of the weekend so that I can ship it up to Kathy next week.
Also was playing around with the other quilt I am working on. I thought I had completed all the block and just needed to sew it together. Wrong Mighty Moose Breath. I couldn't figure out why I had this pile of 4 patches in the box. Well, I needed to make another 8 blocks before I can put it together. Yet another senior moment!
I have decided that I am no longer going to acknowledge birthdays-in fact I think I will subtract a few. Age is just a state of mind anyway!

So glad that PJ finished your quilt. Good luck with the binding. What project are you piecing?
Have a wonderful 4th! Eat lots of watermelon or ice-cream!
Can't wait to see the pictures! I have trouble stitching on black fabric also, must be an age thing? NAH! It's the fabrics fault. That's my story and I'm sticking to it :)
